My husband and I are now in our 29th year of living on a small farm in rural Maine where we raised our children. Through all those years of homeschooling, gardening, and raising Nubian goats, I kept a journal in hopes of becoming a writer of children's books. Well that days is here! I am an award-winning author! My first book-Heavenly Hosts: Eucharistic Miracles for Kids is an Amazon bestseller. My second book-Perilous Days- received the Seal of Approval Award from the Catholic Writer's Guild. In 2022, Lucia of Fatima won the Catholic Media Award for best book for youth, ages 10-16.I also enjoy writing light-hearted and uplifting posts for this blog. In 2018, I became a regular contributor to Catholicmom. Our Lord has blessed me abundantly. I plan to use these writing gifts to spread His Kingdom in my little corner of the world.

A Hidden Thanks

November 26, 2025November 26, 2025 by webmaster

Radical Thanksgiving One brilliant autumn afternoon I turned my face to the sun and felt its warmth, drinking it in, as New Englanders do, knowing that winter snows would soon beat upon us. I do not take this sunny day for granted. I am standing in the middle of a football field exhilarated by the … Read moreA Hidden Thanks

Kathryn Swegart describes how her recent pilgrimage to Ireland reinforced the importance of praying for the dead. November is a stark time of year here on our small farm in Maine. Trees are stripped bare by blustery winds. Maple leaves, once bright and golden, cover the ground, now made brown and slimy by cold rains. … Read moreWhispers From the Grave
