Your ideas are needed for a story in my next children’s book. It is entitled Miraculous! Catholic Mysteries for Kids. Geared toward children ages 6-12, this is a collection of 10 short stories. I have ten solid ideas but need one more. So far the topics are:
- Miracle of the Sun….Fatima
- Shroud of Turin
- Mary’s Holy House of Loreto
- Miraculous Waters of Lourdes
- St. Padre Pio and his miracle in WWII when he appeared to Allied bombers
- Divine Mercy Image
- Our Lady of Guadalupe
- St. John Bosco’s Mysterious Dog
- Eucharistic Miracles of Lanciano
Any ideas? I have one strong contender, but I won’t reveal it at this time.
Peace and All Good!
St. Francis of Assisi before the cross: “rebuild my church.”
That is on my possibility list. I am striving for variety and already have a Padre Pio story. Of course you never can have many Franciscans!
I can’t remember the title but I know children are impressed with the Eucharistic Miracle with the dog.
Thanks Shannon…you might mean The Miracle of Lanciano which I have included.
Medjugorje
The Miracle of Santarem, Portugal—Early 13th century.
I can loan you my ‘Eucharistic Miracles’ by Joan Carroll Cruz book if you want. So many stories from which to choose.
The ‘time’ is way off on postings. It is now 12:15P, not 5:14P.
Hi Lorraine…I do have Joan Carroll Cruz’s book. I never heard of the Miracle of Santarem in Portugal. I will look into it.
How about something about St JP II and his insistence that his life was spared by the BVM?
That also is on my possibility list. It is a remarkable story. Thanks Lisa for your thoughts.
It’s in Chapter 6, p.38.
Miracle of rose. Saint Rita
I will check it out. Thank you Lorraine!
